Your Alfjr Academy Student Handbook
Everything your family needs to get the most out of your online Qur’an, Arabic and Islamic studies journey with us.
What is the Student Handbook?
This is your simple guide to studying with Alfjr Academy: how your live one-to-one lessons work, what to prepare, how we track progress, and how to get help any time — made to keep learning smooth and stress-free for parents and students alike.
How your lessons work
Every student learns one-to-one with their own certified Al-Azhar teacher in a live video class, scheduled around your time zone and taught in Arabic and English.
Before your first class
All you need is a laptop, tablet or phone, a stable internet connection, a quiet space, and a Mushaf or notebook to hand.
Attendance and rescheduling
Life happens. Just let your teacher or supervisor know in advance and we will reschedule your session — no penalty, no stress.
Progress and reports
You receive updates after sessions and a monthly progress summary, and every family has a dedicated supervisor keeping you in the loop.
Not the right fit?
You can ask for another teacher — free. Your child’s comfort and connection with their teacher always come first.
Tips for parents
Keep a consistent weekly routine, sit in on a lesson now and then, and celebrate small wins — encouragement makes a big difference.
Etiquette of learning
Begin each lesson with Bismillah, arrive on time, and approach every session with respect and a sincere intention to learn.
Getting help
Message your dedicated supervisor any time on WhatsApp — we usually reply within a few hours, before, during and after lessons.
